When the life woven in streaks of dreams
craft patterns blending colors for tomorrow,
my memories from the past melts
along with the mist, past my faded vision.

My thoughts, like the waves that erase foot prints
never stop caressing my mind, to hold the bloom for ever.
My heart, like the reflections on dew drops
never stop following light, kindling the flare within

Like a lone child building the castle on the shore
far from the tide and the lingering wind,
hoping the night will drop its jewels over
I sit waiting in the shade left by the wise.

and ......

When I see the moon in full glory

Making mystic shadows on the flower buds eager to bloom

And the leaves start to stir the air making breeze that loom

To kiss me and hug me with its amorous wings

Slipping me in to a delusion, If I am for certain or in a dream

Story Based on Nila's Diary: Baby Steps

Baby Steps

Nila jumped off the couch to grab the camcorder. But the next moment, like the rain clouds that got blown away in the wind before the storm began her mind froze slipping in to autopilot.  She fell on her knees and positioned herself for the smoothest and the safest landing possible. Her son Nikhil’s cute tiny feet taking his first small steps amazed her. For a moment she wished if Ashok was next to her.  No one knew more than her, how eagerly he waited for this moment; his little prince standing on his own feet making the first baby steps. Time was flying after Nikhil was born and he kept her busy, amusing her every moment.
After making the first step, Nikhil paused for a moment looked at her. Slanting his head in her direction smiled showing his two little teeth sprouting on those bare pink gums. His look and the joyous smile made Nila feel like seeing a thousand full moons in the beautiful diamond studded sky before her.
Like a toy car that lost control, Nikhil moved quickly to balance his body aiming for mom. Briskly in one breath she counted One.. Two.. Three.. and Four, he just… fell in to her bosom.  Nila curled her upper body and hugged him to touch and feel Nikhil’s soft skin wherever possible with hers. She closed her eyes, clasping Nikhil, forgetting everything around her. ‘Aaah… you naughty boy’ She screamed loud pulling Nikhil away from her and laughed enjoying the sweet pain and then caressed the bite marks on her breast.  She lifted the giggling Nikhil, looked in to his eyes kissed him on his forehead and smooched his nose with hers like a butterfly trying to sip nectar from a dancing flower in the wind.
